Today’s Scripture
“My heart has heard you say, ‘Come and talk with me.’ And my heart responds, ‘Lord, I am coming.’” (Psalm 24:7).

 

 
Today’s reading of the Psalms help us to identify with common life experiences, such as when people oppose us, when God seems silent, when God speaks, when we are in times of distress and when we find ourselves in need to forgive.

 
These Psalms teach us characteristics about our deliverer. Our God desires friendship with us and expects us to live upright and with integrity. Our God wants us to keep praying even when He is silent. Our God is awesome in power, but gives peace in the midst of life storms. Our God wants to be our first response when we need help, and He wants us to be quick to confess and quick to forgive.
