Do Unto Others

Today’s Scripture
“May the Lord value my life, even as I have valued yours” (1 Samuel 26:24).

David spares Saul’s life yet again and does not desire to kill him even though Saul has been hunting him down for years. David finds safety in an unusual place – the land of the Philistines and lives among King Achish and his people for many years. The Philistines go to war with Israel, this time killing Israel’s first king, Saul.

God gave favor to David throughout his life and orchestrated circumstances for his good and the good of the nation of Israel. God honored David’s righteous actions as he trusted and put his faith in God and God’s timing. He abided by a true and steadfast Kingdom Principle that we will be treated in accordance with how we treat others. Can you say as David did, “May the Lord value my life, even as I have valued others?”
