Today’s Scripture
“Worship and serve him with your whole heart and a willing mind” (1 Chronicles 28:9).

 

 
David is nearing the end of his reign and his life and he warns all Israel to worship and serve God with their whole heart and mind. Like Moses, he convened the people and gave them a warning to obey if they wished to continue receiving God’s blessings in the land.

 
The accomplishments of David throughout his lifetime were amazing! And they all can be attributed to his walk with God. How he patterned his thinking made all the difference. Remember how he always inquired of the Lord before he acted and how he waited on God to deliver him from his enemies? David spent a lifetime learning to think about things the way God thinks about them. The mind is the key to emotions and behavior. If you want to change your words and actions, change the way you think (Rom 12:2).
