Today’s Scripture
“I am leaving you with a gift – peace of mind and heart” (John 14:27).

 

 
In the Upper Room Jesus shares some of the most profound teaching of his ministry to the disciples. The book of John is replete with Jesus’ words about Himself, the Trinity, and His true followers.

 
Jesus said he was the way, the truth and the life and that no one could come to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). The disciples, in their own understanding without the power of the Holy Spirit, understood some of Jesus’ teachings before His ascension, but came to more fully understand them when the Holy Spirit came on them later. Who do you say Jesus is?
