Today’s Scripture
“I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same might power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms” (Ephesians 1:19).

 

 
As we begin the book of Ephesians today, we come across Scripture that reflects the namesake of our study – Living Power (Eph 1.19)! Today, we discover a promise that dynamic power is (present tense) available to all believers, equipping them for a victorious, holy life.

 
During this life on earth, believers receive the Holy Spirit as a “down payment,” a small part of a rich and glorious future inheritance to be received in the life to come. A great part of that future inheritance will be to have the presence of sin removed from our very existence. Imagine what that means!
