Today’s Scripture
“Say to him, “Forgive all our sins and graciously receive us, so that we may offer you our praises.” (Hosea 14:2).
In the 14th chapter of Hosea, we see a model prayer of repentance, which Israel is encouraged to pray (Hosea 14:2-3). Immediately following this passage, God responds in acceptance (Hosea 14:4).
Is there something in your life that you need to confess? Pray this prayer and the Lord will surely forgive you, his anger will be gone forever (Hosea 14:4).
Dear Shannon, Thank you for this marvelous study today.
I loved these passages today. What a gracious, kind, faithful, forgiving God we serve–even though we’re often not gracious, kind, or faithful.
It was interesting to see Israel personified with a male pronoun since most often it’s referred to as “she.” Nothing profound, just different.
And I had totally missed that his son coming out of Egypt referred to Jesus! Thank you!
