Today’s Scripture
“Jesus told his disciples, ‘Now gather the leftovers, so that nothing is wasted'”(John 6.12).

 

 
A familiar story to many, the feeding of the 5000 is a miraculous demonstration of the power of God when we bring Him what little we have and trust Him to make it enough.

 
About 5,000 Jewish men were fed that day, in addition to women and children, which could have numbered as many as 20,000! And after they were fed, they gathered up twelve baskets of leftovers! Jesus can turn our “leftovers,” the broken pieces of our life into something good and purposeful if we will simply bring them to Him.
