Today’s Scripture
“For everything there is a season” (Ecclesiastes 3:1).

 

 
Ecclesiastes means “Leader of the assembly,” referring to Solomon as teacher. In this book, he teaches us what’s important in life and what’s better left behind.

 
During Solomon’s life as king of Israel during its peaceful golden age, Solomon enjoyed many pleasures. Nothing in this life was withheld from him. During this time, he came to the conclusion that we should enjoy what we have instead of desiring what we don’t. Humans are rarely satisfied and commonly strive for more. Do you enjoy God’s blessings in your life, or are you more likely to fancy after the things you do not have? How are you living happy today?
