Today’s Scripture
“Sell your possessions and give to those in need. This will store up treasure for you in heaven!” (Luke 12:33).

 

 
Jesus teaches in Judea about pure and genuine religion. In doing so, he charges the people with four failings, all of which we can relate. He tells the people to share what they have with the poor and in return will receive eternal reward in the life hereafter.

 
What is your pitfall? Do you fear men more than God, do you seek instant gratification vs eternal rewards, are you taken in by the draw of materialism or do you joyfully give out of the surplus beyond your daily needs? Jesus spoke to 10,000 people in Judea this day; what is he speaking to you?
