Two Resurrections

Oct 01, 2014 / Bible Study / 0 COMMENTS

Today’s Scripture
“He has given him authority to judge everyone because he is the Son of Man. Don’t be so surprised! Indeed, the time is coming when all of the dead in their graves will hear the voice of God’s Son, and they will rise again. Those who have done good will rise to experience eternal life, and those who have continued in evil will rise to experience judgment” (John 5:27-29).

Both Testaments give insight into the resurrection of the dead. Scripture tells us that there are two resurrections, one in which believers rise to receive eternal life and another wherein unbelievers rise to experience judgment and eternal separation from God.

Jesus taught He could do nothing by himself, He was doing only what he saw the Father doing. So it should be in our lives as well. Do you live in constant communication with God that you know where God is working in and amongst you so that you can join Him in that work? Through a revitalized prayer life, we can come to better understand God’s will and His work around us.
