Today’s Scripture
“Stand in silence… for the awesome day of the Lord’s judgment is near” (Zephaniah 1:7).

 

 
Today, we begin to discuss what Scripture calls a Day of the Lord. This is a time of worldwide devastation which occurs in the last days. An act of right judgment, this is a time when God judges the world, destroying the wicked for their sin, resulting in their ultimate and everlasting peril.

 
Think for a moment what person or persons have come into your life and helped you find Christ or grow in your walk with Him? Praise God for these Godly people in our lives! Take a moment and thank that special person today for being so influential in your walk. And as you think about today’s reading and the impending judgment on the world for sin, who has God put in your path to whom you could share your faith or encourage to be stronger in theirs?
