Today’s Scripture
“You (Joshua) are growing old and there is much land to be conquered… I myself will drive these people out of the land” (Joshua 13:1, 6b).

 
How the land was distributed to the 12 Tribes:

 

 
Caleb, a man of great faith, is nearing 85 years of age and we read he feels as strong as ever. He comes to Joshua and asks for a specific part of land, the land of the Amalekites. This is the same land he saw forty years before when he served as one of the twelve spies. While the others returned with an unfavorable report, he (and Joshua) believed with God’s help they could inhabit the land. That’s exactly what he did forty years later.

 
Sometimes, it seems we tend to underestimate the power of partnership. As a team, a person can accomplish so much more than he/she can alone. We see this in the life of Israel as they work together towards a common purpose. When all the tribes are united, they accomplish much and when they are united in partnership with God they are able to accomplish the impossible. Do you recognize the partnership you have with God?
