Today’s Scripture
“So Jeremiah sent for Baruch son of Neriah, and as Jeremiah dictated all the prophecies that the Lord had given him, Baruch wrote them on a scroll” (Jeremiah 36:4).

 

 
Jeremiah gives 13 messages of judgement (Jeremiah chapters 2-25), which are arranged topically, not chronologically. Chapter 25, which we read today, is the capstone of judgement.

 
Baruch wrote down the Word of the Lord for Jeremiah, just as he dictated. Preserved by the Holy Spirit for thousands of years, the Word of God has been preserved for us as the Holy Scriptures. How blessed we are to have such a book written by God. The person who builds his life on the Bible builds it on that which cannot be shaken. Do you build your life on the Good Book?
