The First Thirty Years

Today’s Scripture
“Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea. About that time some wise men from eastern lands arrived in Jerusalem, asking, “Where is the newborn king of the Jews?” King Herod was deeply disturbed when he heard this, as was everyone in Jerusalem” (Matthew 2:3).

Today’s reading spans the first thirty years of Jesus’ life. While not much is told of His life as a child, we begin to understand his ministry when it begins at the age of thirty.

In the video, we cover reasons for Jesus being baptized. A defining moment in His life, at His baptism, we see a unique glimpse in the presence of the Trinity.
