Today’s Scripture
“When his family heard what was happening, they tried to take him away. “He’s out of his mind,” they said” (Mark 3.21).

 

 
While we don’t know what happened to Joseph, the Scriptures tell us that Mary, Jesus’ mother, was very present during his ministry on earth. Scripture also tells us Jesus had multiple brothers and sisters (Matt 13:56, Mark 6:3) whose stories are not very detailed.

 
There is one story that details Mary and Jesus’ brothers coming to see him while he was teaching inside a house. He replied to them, “Anyone who does God’s will is my brother and sister and mother” of which he was describing the spiritual family of God in the body of Christ. Do you recognize your fellow believers as sisters and brothers in Christ and acknowledge them as an important part of your spiritual family?
