Today’s Scripture
“Fear God and obey his commands. This is everyone’s duty” (Ecclesiastes 12:13).

 

 
When Jeroboam became king over the northern ten tribes of Israel, thus splitting the kingdom into two sections, this turn of events was the will of God (1 Kings 12:15).

 
When the Northern tribes revolted, Jeroboam setup religious sites separate from the true religious worship in Jerusalem. There were some people who wanted to worship the Lord and came to Jerusalem in spite of this. Trouble for Israel – and trouble for us – will come if we choose to disobey God. What will you choose to do today?
