In addition to the twenty-year building program, Solomon rebuilds towns from the King of Tyre and from Pharaoh as well as cities for his many horses and chariots. This was a time of great prosperity as people from every nation came to consult Solomon and bring gifts (1 Kings 10:24).

 
Materialism seems to get the better of Solomon. Today, sadly but understandably, we see the beginnings of his living for material pleasures here on earth. In today’s video, we look back at the Law where God gave warnings to Moses to give to the king. Could Solomon have ignored these warnings? Many times, we do exactly the same things. We seek after things the world desires: money, possessions, status and power forsaking a better thing that only God can offer. What are you seeking after? Would Jesus be seeking after those same things?
