Today’s Scripture
“I am the good shepherd; I know my own sheep and they know me” (John 10:14).

 

 
The gospel of John gives us seven “I AM” statements, who of which we study today. Jesus says, “I am the door” and I am the Good Shepherd who lays down his life for the sheep.

 
If Jesus is our shepherd and we are his sheep, how does this call us to changed living? Sheep were used in the Old Testament for sacrifices, we are called to give our lives as “living sacrifices.”
