Today’s Scripture
“If he has wronged you in any way or owes you anything, charge it to me” (Philemon 1:18).

 

 
In the small book of Philemon, we can see Paul’s faith applied in action in the way he addresses a runaway slave and encourages his return, along with Philemon’s forgiveness and acceptance of him.

 
Can you see Jesus in this book? When Paul said, “If he owes you anything, I’ll pay it back,” he was taking on a debit he did not owe for a friend whom he dearly loved. Just like Jesus did for someone He dearly loves – you and me.
