Praise Before Battle

Jun 13, 2017 / Bible Study / 0 COMMENTS

Today’s Scripture
“The king appointed singers to walk ahead of the army, singing to the LORD and praising him for his holy splendor” (1 Kings 20:23).

Jehosophat was king of Judah (southern kingdom). He is listed in the Bible as a good king. During his great crisis, he bowed low humbling himself and sent singers out before the army to offer up praise.

As a result of Jehosophat’s actions, God gave Judah the victory, and God received glory from the surrounding nations (they feared him). The next time you enter onto your battleground, will you remember to first give God praise?
