Today’s Scripture
“Paul was grabbed and dragged out of the Temple, and immediately the gates were closed behind him” (Acts 21:30).

 

 
In today’s reading, Paula has a sense of urgency to go to Jerusalem. He knows jail and suffering await, but it’s as if the Spirit urges him on.

 
When Paul arrived in Jerusalem, he was greeted warmly by the church; however, the people would have killed him by stoning had the guard not arrested him. This was God’s perfect plan to take Paul to Rome. Sometimes circumstances look like all has gone awry, but God continues to work behind the scenes, directing the plays.
