The Inheritance of Salvation

Dec 17, 2014 / Bible Study / 2 COMMENTS

Scripture Highlight
“If we are faithful to the end, trusting God just as firmly as when we first believed, we will share in all that belongs to Christ” (Hebrews 3:14).

Unbelief is the reason the Israelites wandered in the wilderness for forty years. The invitation to enter into God’s rest – a land of blessings and plenty – would wait to be inherited by the next generation. The same invitation to enter into God’s rest is extended to us today, too, with the same promise and the same requirement.

The book of Hebrews offers us many practical warnings to stay true to Christ, remain faithful and stand firm until the end. When you hear God’s voice speaking to you, will you harden your hearts and turn away, or will you draw near and willingly and lovingly obey? Trust Him through all things for He is One Worthy of your confidence.

Shannon, what / where was the third warning? Did I miss you talking about that?

      Hi Stacy,
The third warning within the first three chapters of Hebrews can be found in Hebrews 3:12 and it is to be careful that we do not let evil or unbelief overtake us, turning us away from our faith and away from God. It is a warning against growing lukewarm towards God, as can sometimes happen in our busy lives, and is a reminder to us to stay faithful to Him ’till the end.

The 3 warnings can be found in:
      1. Hebrews 2:1
      2. Hebrews 3:8
      3. Hebrews 3:12

      Blessings!
