Today’s Scripture
“Jonah got up and went in the opposite direction to get away from the Lord” (Jonah 1:3).

 

 
Jonah was a prophet who ran from God. Because of the atrocities committed by the people to which he was sent, he did not want to see their redemption. The people from Nineveh were violent and brutal, and Jonah knew from the words God used that He would forgive them if they repented of their ways. They did and God did.

 
When God threatens punishment, he emphasizes grace. How can you show “grace without limits” to those who oppose you today?
