Today’s Scripture
“Avoid worthless, foolish talk that only leads to more godless behavior” (2 Timothy 2:16).

 

 
Paul wrote to his disciple, the young Timothy, encouraging him to be bold in his faith and in proclaiming the gospel. He tells him that he may be timid, but remember he has the Holy Spirit in him, who will strengthen and empower him.

 
Some people rationalize meaning of words and religious theories for their own benefit or due to lack of understanding. We are to keep clear heads in every situation and to study to understand the Truth so we can tell others the Good News.
