Today’s Scripture
“Then Jesus walked over to the coffin and touched it, and the bearers stopped. “Young man,” he said, “I tell you, get up.” Then the dead boy sat up and began to talk!” (Luke 7.14-15).

 

 
Jesus performed many signs and wonders during his life on earth, which served as confirmation to the believers that He was the Messiah. In today’s reading, we see Jesus had power over disease and even over death.

 
Even with all the signs and wonders, many people still wondered and even doubted he was the Messiah and remained entrenched in their old ways of doing things. This speaks to the unwillingness of man to change from a system in which he is comfortable. Jesus calls for change, and many resist. Are you willing to receive Jesus’ invitation to believe He is Who He says He is?
