Choose Your Witness

Today’s Scripture
“So the Lord sent the commanders of the Assyrian armies, and they took Manasseh prisoner. They put a ring through his nose, bound him in bronze chains, and led him away to Babylon. But while in deep distress, Manasseh sought the Lord his God and sincerely humbled himself before the God of his ancestors” (2 Chronicles 33:11-12).

Manasseh, son of the God-fearing Hezekiah, rebuilt the pagan shrines his father had destroyed. During his reign, he worshipped the false gods of the surrounding nations and even sacrificed his own son in the fire. Yet, God brought circumstances together to show He was the One True God and Manasseh turned to Him.

Everyone has a witness, a way of either leading others towards the Lord, or a way of leading others from Him. Hezekiah was a Godly man and king. His son, Manasseh, for the better part of his life, chose to lead others away from the Living God. Your life does witness. Is it for God or against Him?
