Today’s Scripture
“His son will have one tribe so that the descendants of David my servant will continue to reign, shining like a lamp in Jerusalem” (1 Kings 11:36).

 

 
Because Solomon worshipped the gods of the surrounding nations, God told him that the kingdom would be split in two and his son would reign over only two tribes.

 
During Solomon’s life, he mis-used God’s blessing for diplomatic reasons in marrying foreign women for political gain. This eventually led to his spiritual decline. Is there something in your life, commercially or socially, that is influencing you and may be leading you away from God?
