A Personal Offering

Feb 15, 2018 / Bible Study / 2 COMMENTS

Today’s Scripture
“Receive their gifts…and distribute them among the Levites according to the work they have to do” (Numbers 7:5).

God called the Levites to minister in the Tabernacle, providing them with oxen and wagons as they needed to perform their duties. Where God calls, He equips. The Gershonites and Merarites needed oxen and wagons to transport the Tabernacle furnishings for which they were responsible; however, the Kohathites did not because they were called to carry the Holy Place furnishings on their shoulders.

The Levites were able to do what they were called to do because of the voluntary gifts of the people. Your sharing of resources, time, talents or gifts may be the necessary ingredient to accomplish something in someone else’s life. What is God asking you to do that you’re afraid to pursue? How can you give more to God’s kingdom? Whatever God is calling you to do, may you pursue it with boldness and great courage, for “nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless” (I Co 15:58).
