A New Name

Jul 27, 2015 / Bible Study / 3 COMMENTS

Today’s Scripture
“You (Jerusalem) will be given a new name by the Lords’s own mouth” (Isaiah 62:2).

Have you ever thought about praying for the peace of Jerusalem? Today’s reading calls us to “pray day and night, continually for God to make Jerusalem the pride of the earth… giving the Lord no rest until he completes his work” (Isaiah 62:6-7). When that day comes, peace will descend on the city and the world, for Christ will be reigning over it.

When we pray for the peace of Jerusalem, we pray for the speedy return of Christ!

What a beautiful picture of our Lord the Messiah when He returns to save His people! Then and only then will we see real peace.

How I love the book of Isaiah! Each year that I study it with you, I learn so much more. Thank you!
