Today, Jesus sends out the twelve disciples on their first-ever ministry tour! Isn’t it interesting he sent them out in pairs, with no money and no extra belongings?

 
Jesus’ public ministry is summarized in saying, “Jesus traveled trough all the towns and villages of that area, teaching in the synagogues and announcing the Good News about the Kingdom. And he healed every kind of disease and illness” (Matthew 9:35). As we see Jesus sending out the twelve disciples, we see new seedlings of the birth of a Church, one in which we are invited to take part. In fact, every act of working is noticed by God and receives a reward (Matt 10:42). Do you get excited about serving in your local Church recognizing this earns you a reward of righteousness?
