A Lesson in Leadership

Feb 14, 2018 / Bible Study / 1 COMMENTS

Today’s Scripture
“Moses inspected all their work. When he found it had been done just as the Lord had commanded him, he blessed them” (Exodus 39:43).

Both the people and the leaders of the people play a role in the success of any endeavor being pursued. The Israelites pursued the task of building the Tabernacle in the wilderness with a common goal, a shared vision, a focused perspective, refusing to “cut corners.” These are some of the reasons they succeeded. Their audit resulted in an excellent grade! One day we will present our lives before the Lord, be inspected, and will pass! Paul tells us, “God will keep you strong to the end so you will be free of all blame on the day when Christ comes again” (I Corinthians 1:8).

The people asked Moses to inspect the work they had performed. Do you encourage inspection of your work? Do you express humility, actively seeking feedback about your performance? And if so, are you as or more concerned that God is pleased?

Great lesson! So much to be learned here on so many levels. I’ve never really studied Exodus, and have found this to be so foundational to the rest of what I know of this amazing, living book, the Holy Bible. Thank you, for your obedience in sharing your knowledge to thirsty people like me.
    Bless you.
