A Daring Portrayal

Jun 26, 2015 / Bible Study / 1 COMMENTS

Today’s Scripture
“I will be faithful to you and make you mine, and you will finally know me as the Lord” (Hosea 2:20).

In today’s reading, we see God portrayed intent to win Israel back. As He speaks tenderly in this passage (Hosea 2:15), we see a heart full of love for His people irregardless of what has happened.

Hosea paid 30 pieces of silver to purchase Gomer back, the same price that was paid by Judas for Jesus betrayal. Can you see the symbolic picture of Christ who bought freedom for His bride?

Thanks for another great day of study!

I have a question that may be out there–In 6:2, could that be a picture of the resurrection? I’m wondering if they, in their ignorance and confusion, stated this, thinking He wouldn’t be angry for a long time, but will come back to them…but in reality, they unknowingly were speaking the truth of the resurrection.

    Just curious… 🙂
